  1-1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs beaten
2-1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 eight ounce jar maraschino cherries chopped
1 cup Milnot
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
  Instructions
  Combine sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs and mix well. Sift flour and baking powder. Drain cherries. Reserve liquid.
Mix liquids together and alternate with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla, cherries and nuts. Place in ag reased x5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Reserved liquid can be mixed with powderd sugar to make a glaze to drizzle on bread when cooled.
